Brent spent last week on his annual trip to "the river which shall not be named." In true fisherman fashion, Brent insisted that I keep this river's identity a secret. Despite my lack of understanding for this code, I obliged.
This was year 6 on the ________ River and it was a slim crew compared to the usual crowd. Brent, Clint and Grandpa Burnett were the diehards. Milo came too, although in all his excitement he had a hard time staying still for a picture.
Despite an intense downpour and lightening storm, the trip was a success and everyone caught some nice fish. The men enjoyed time together on the river and eventually lost count of the number of fish caught. I suppose that would be the reason for keeping the river anonymous...
While the men fished, the boys and I hung out in Yakima for the week. We got to go to Aunt Julie's baby shower. Yay! We're so excited for another baby to join the family! We mostly hung out with the Grandmas and the aunts and enjoyed the last days of summer.

Must the boys wear those goofy hats?? I will put up with the lack of fashion sense in the pool since it protects them from the sun. But in the house--seriously? Though they are a little better then then chin strap ones. Obviously, favorite tia needs to do a fashion intervention! Love you guys!!
I love your posts, they are so funny. They need to give the river some ridiculous nickname like off of Monty Python or something. Looks like they had fun.
Love the pictures Darcee! I didn't know Julie was pregnant! That will be nice to have some cousins or else future family reunions will be boring for your twins (well I guess they do have each other). As much as you miss Boston, it must be so nice to be able to pick up and go to Yakima while the boys are off fishing. I can't imagine how hard twins are, let alone, doing it by yourself for a week!
How secretive!! :) It was so good to talk to you today! I'm going to try and send you an e-mail if I can remember over the next few days. I had an idea for something after I got off the phone with you. But, I'll be like Brent and say that it's a SECRET and I'll let you know later:)
