Monkey See, Monkey Do

Grandma and Grandpa Smart came down for an extended weekend stay to spoil Keith and Cole. The first major outing was to the Zoo. C and K LOVE animals and LOVE to make animal sounds. It was especially exciting for them to see some of their favorites in the flesh. The growling, pointing, wrestling and ooohing wore them out.
I was pretty tired, too, so I was glad to have Aunt Darel and G and G to help entertain all weekend.

Even Great-Grandma and Grandpa Hague came down for a night.

Grandpa H was nice enough to read stories and even lend his cane to the boys. The cane was put right to use as a weapon, complete with machine-gun sound effects. I seriously don't know where they get this stuff. I guess boys are genetically engineered for combat. Shouldn't I know that by now?

After spending a weekend with the Lil' Monkey and Lil' Lion I have no idea how you are going to do the whole "3 under 2" thing. When they both start wandering different directions, how do you chase them and still tend to Little Alli? This will be interesting to say the least. Interesting observation: When you set them down to walk, twins never walk towards the same thing. It is random wandering in very different directions. You are going to have to become Super Girl, Wonder Woman and Sue Storm (The Fantastic Four chick) all wrapped up into one amazing woman to accomplish your role as a mother of "3 under 2.". As I recall Sue Storm could project "protective force fields" and had the ability to become invisible, both of which could be incredibly helpful as a mother of "3 under 2." Might I suggest that you start reading Marvel Comics in preparation of "3 under 2."

It's funny how similar C and K are to Nick in their combat mentality. Every object can be used as a weapon. Love the pics.

How fun for the boys to go to the zoo! I can't wait until Caden is old enough to enjoy doing things like that. I can't wait to see you guys so soon! Thanks so much for letting us crash at your place for a few days until we find a place to live.

I just got a pic of my great grandpa with your grandpa around the time that my great grandpa was baptized. Old Bro Button was in it as well.
