Our sweet little boy passed away quietly this morning around 2:30am. He was surrounded in love by his parents and both grandparents. He never experienced any pain. He will be dearly missed. We will post details of his funeral services when we arrange them. Thank you so much to everyone who has been such a strength and support to us throughout this very difficult journey.

We're crying with you guys this morning...many tears of sadness, and also tears of joy. So sad you've lost Keith for the time being. Sad for the years ahead without him. So happy his suffering is over. So happy he's in a better place and that he wasn't in pain. Glad for the knowledge that families are forever. So excited for the joyous reunion ahead.
May the Lord bless your family with peace and comfort during this trying time.
Much Love,
The Lillroses

We would like to offer our most heart felt condolences. We have been watching Keith's progress for some time, but haven't known the right words to say. We feel that way now more than ever. However, we are impressed and inspired by your wonderful family and hope that you can find the strength to continue on until you can be with Keith again.

I'm so sorry. I've been reading your blog and pulling for you guys. Keith was such a fighter and you were amazingly strong through it all. The gospel is true: families are forever. But I can't imagine the pain you are going through right now. We are sending prayers your way.
Brent and Darc-
We are so very very deeply moved by the incredible journey you have both taken us on through Keith's experiences over the past year or so. I have been deeply humbled to have friends like you who have opened up such a personal experience with us so that, we too, could gain greater perspective and appreciation for our lives, and the lives of our children, friends and family. We love you guys do much, and would hop on a plane in a heartbeat if we could. I know there are so many friends and family out there who want to rally with you, along your side. Little keith taught some very mighty lessons, through his unconditional love, patience, and a clearer understanding of the Lord's will. What an amazing boy. We hope you find peace and joy in celebrating keith's sweet life. All of our love--Jeannette and Sean
I am so very sorry. You and your family have been such an example of faith and strength during this incredibly difficult trial. Prayers for you both, and your sweet children.

We love you guys. Our thoughts and prayers for comfort continue.
Over the last few weeks, we've shed tears several times thinking about your family. We feel blessed to have been able to read and hear your story and to witness your family's courage and faith. Thank you for sharing this, and our hearts go out to you. We love you, and you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
Darcee and Brent,
We were deeply saddened to hear of your loss. John and I were reading your blog entries tonight after learning about Keith through Arlington Ward channels. We were so touched by your thoughtful accounts of this trial in your family and were impressed by the faith you have shown along the way.
We have not been in touch for so long, and in the busy last two years, we had not followed your blog (as we ought to have). Thus, we had no idea Keith was ill. We are so sorry for that. Please know that although we have not seen you in awhile, that we love you and your family and continue to treasure your friendship. We remember the day your boys were born and are so grateful that we have had the opportunity to be part of your lives. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers right now.
All our love,
Sara and John Lafkas
We love you guys!!!
Dearest Darc and Brent,
Our whole family is grieving with you. We are all broken hearted: Adrienne in Utah, Trevor and his family in Toppenish and of course my heart aches for you as well. It seems such a short time ago that Darrell and Sheila lost Bay. I thought they might die of sorrow. Now they (and you) travel this road again.
I have kept thinking of Bay, of Darrell's sisters, of Elise--and of your grandpa, Darcy. Although all of Keith's family on the other side is waiting for him, like Christ, [we] "wept"--for your sorrow, for the years ahead without Keith, for the shortness of this life, for the beauty of your special, spiritual little boy, and finally for the sacrifice of Christ who provided the perfect plan of salvation--a way that we can be with those we love again.
I pray that the sweetness of the spirit will lift and sustain you and your family in the days to come.
I love you,
Lynne
We have been thinking of you guys all weekend. We will continue to pray for you and your family. You are such great examples of faith and strength.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your precious son. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
So sorry your having to go through the pain of losing someone you love so very much! Though we know they are in a better place, their place here is now empty and that brings deep sorrow to every part of the soul. So glad to know you were are able to be there with him . Our love, prayers and thoughts are with you all.
Dear Burnett family,
My name is Krista. I was Nick and Sydney's neighbor in Utah. I've followed her blog and have always been touched by Keith's incredible courage and sweetness in the face of all of his trials. He has made me want to be more gracious and loving. I pray that his sweet spirit has been very near you to comfort you.
My family lost our niece when she was 16 months old when she became caught in her carseat as she napped in her room. One thing that I was very glad that our family did was write (or have the other young children tell) as many memories as we could remember in the days after her passing. It was a very difficult time and the grief nearly swallowed my sister-in-law whole, but she is grateful that she wrote down all of those memories while they were fresh. It was wonderful to celebrate Devon's sweet, brief life and the joy that she brought, especially during those first shocking and painful days.
You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for generously sharing your beautiful son's optimism and love with all of us though this blog. What a perfect treasure awaits you on the other side.
I'm so sorry for your loss Darcee. You have been and will continue to be in our prayers.
